The Cummaquid Heights Association, Inc. has been in existence for over 30 years and is a Massachusetts corporation. It was incorporated on August 18, 2008. It owns no property and has no legal authority over property owners. Some of the properties within Cummaquid Heights are located within the Town of Barnstable and others are located within the Town of Yarmouth. All properties are subject to and governed by the Zoning and Building Departments.
The primary purpose of the Cummaquid Heights Association is to maintain the attractiveness of our neighborhood and to enhance the value of the residences by establishing Suggested Guidelines and maintaining the entrances into the community. Our goal is to create an environment of community spirit and opportunities for residents to meet and socialize. We can provide information to the community with regard to public or private actions or programs which might have a positive or negative impact on the neighborhood.
The Cummaquid Heights Association, Inc. is governed by a Board of Directors elected by the Members at the Annual Meeting each year usually held at the Cummaquid Golf Club.They are non-paid volunteers who serve for a specific term. Within the Board are a number of Subcommittees responsible for carrying out the day to day operations of the Board.
Members of the Cummaquid Heights Association, Inc. are those property owners who pay their annual dues. Each household is entitled to a single vote at the Annual Meeting.
The membership year is from Jan 1 to Dec 31.
