On Friday, March 15, 1968  Boston Herald Newspaper, had an advertisement for Cummaquid Heights: "A new residential area overlooking a golf course. Home sites from $6,500; homes from the mid 30's."
 ...and so Cummaquid Heights was born, and grew into a fine and friendly residential community in the village of Cummaquid, which is located within the Town of Barnstable and the Town of Yarmouth

There are approx. 300 residential single family homes within Cummaquid Heights many of which were constructed in the 1980s. It is not a Condominium Community and every owner has his/her own deed to their property. Every Owner is responsible for the payment of Real Estate Taxes and other town services (Barnstable or Yarmouth) assessed to their own property

The Cummaquid Heights Association (CHA) has been in existence for over 30 years and was incorporated as a Massachusetts corporation August 18, 2008.
